Meet Heidi
Psy.D. and Co-Founder
Dr. Heidi Vermeer-Quist is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She has provided psychological assessment and psychotherapy to people struggling with depression, anxiety, relational conflicts, trauma recovery, unresolved grief and adjustment, and personality disorders. Heidi served on the Iowa Board of Professional Psychology from 2011-2020. In 2018, she and her husband, Chad Quist, transitioned the Pine Rest Des Moines Clinic to Heartland Christian Counseling. She currently provides clinical services through New Life Counseling.
In addition to her clinical training, Heidi also obtained specialized training and extensive experience in Organizational Psychology and Family Business Governance. She has served Vermeer Corporation in various family governance roles, including establishing and Chairing the Ownership Counsel and serving on the Board of Directors. In addition to her role at New Life Counseling, Heidi provides family business and organizational consulting services through VQ Consult.
Meet Chad
PA-C, MBA and Co-Founder
Chad is a married-in third-generation family member of Vermeer Corporation. He currently serves as a Director for The Vermeer Charitable Foundation, has recently completed a term on the Ownership Council, and is actively working towards Vermeer Board of Directors Service. Chad resides in Des Moines, Iowa. He is a Licensed Physician Assistant practicing Neurology, and President of Heartland Christian Counseling, a professional counseling center serving central Iowa.
For over 20 years, Chad has participated and grown in his Family Business Governance Education. As a conference speaker and attendee, He provides a unique perspective on family business as a married-in family member. He actively provides Family Business Consulting through VQ Consult, LLC with his spouse, Heidi Vermeer-Quist. Chad has over twelve years of clinical experience in the fields of Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine, Psychiatry, and most recently Neurology. He actively works on team integration, communication, and healthy system dynamics. After obtaining his MBA, Chad has incorporated his skills within the fields of healthcare and business by serving numerous organizations and boards.
